Hi,
We have just arrived in the Netherlands from the UK and were wondering if there is any information available in English about vegetarian food in the Netherlands?
For example, is there a Vegetarian product list I can use?
Thank you.

Welcome to the Netherlands!
To start, most people here can read and write in English, so feel free to ask any questions in English.
There is a list of cheeses with vegetarian rennet, which is in Dutch, but because most names on the list are brand names, it is probably usable for you too. You can find it here (http://www.vegatopia.com/kokenenzo/ko&zo_zuivel.php?subaction=showfull&id=1144506279&archive=&start_from=&ucat=30&):
There is a 'Vegetarian Trademark' in the Netherlands, but it is not used very often.
A good supermarket to buy vegetarian products is the Albert Heijn supermarket, they have vegetarian burgers etc. of the brand Tivall. Very tasty.

Thank you for your speedy and informative response - it is much appreciated.
The vegetarian list is exactly the kind of list I was looking for.
Luckily there is an Albert Heijn store close to where we live so I will definately be shopping there.
Thanks again!

In the Netherlands, there is always an Albert Store close to where you live.
